South Carolina Electric & Gas will temporarily close its park on the Irmo side of the Lake Murray Dam to make improvements to the site. The park will be closed to the public beginning Monday, Nov. 12, and it is anticipated that the improvements will take up to three weeks, depending on the weather. <?xml:namespace prefix = o />
“We apologize for the inconvenience, but these enhancements will be a benefit to all those that use the park,” said Tommy Boozer, who heads up SCE&G’s lake management activities. “We would like to remind folks that the walker’s parking lot on the south side of the lake on the Lexington side will remain open for public use.”
Improvement will include paving and restriping the parking lot and constructing a concrete access road to the existing boat ramps.
