Rescue teams find missing man in Lake Murray | News

NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS)- Rescue teams from Newberry and Saluda counties located a man who was reported missing Wednesday morning.

The Newberry County Sheriff's Office reports crews searching the water at the Black's Bridge on SC Highway 391 located the man's body in approximately 10 feet of water using a sonar device.

Wednesday morning family members reported the man missing from the Newberry area.

His truck was found on the side of the road near the bridge.

The Newberry County Coroner's Office will determine a cause of death and release the man's identity at a later time.

Divers from the Department of Natural Resources
assisted by divers from the Newberry County Water Rescue team, Newberry and
Saluda County Sheriff's Offices assisted in the recovery.
