Photo Gallery | Suspects tried to buy Xbox with victim’s card

The Chapin Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the two suspects in the above photos who they say attempted to use a stolen credit card.

Police say on Oct. 18, between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. a purse was stolen out of a vehicle parked at Back in Shape

Fitness located on the corner of Columbia Avenue and Eagle Chase Court.

The reports said the owner of the vehicle was informed via text message from her financial institution that her Wells Fargo Credit card was used and declined at the Wal-Mart located on Harbison Boulevard at 6:08 p.m.

Police say the two suspects attempted to buy an Xbox with the victim's credit card and one of the victim's checks.

According to the report, the two suspects left the incident location in a newer model dark in color 4-door sedan with silver rims or hub caps.
